Mystery and VH1 have sparked a heated debate between some members of the Seduction Community. The question is:
"Has Mystery and the VH1 show 'The Pickup Artist' ruined things (or at least made them more difficult) for the Community?"
I believe the answer is unequivocally 'No.'
There are a series of reasons why this is the case, but three in particular that stick out to me:
1. REALLY HOT GIRLS ALREADY KNEW ABOUT THESE TECHNIQUES
Yep, long before the vh1 show even came out. I've spent enough time in the bar and club scene to know this for a fact. Not only were the 9's and 10's recognizing the stock lines associated with Mystery, but they were beginning to decipher the actual structure of the system itself. So what's changing as a result of the show? Now the 6's and 7's are finding out about it… Big deal.
2. COMMUNITY GUYS ARE MOVING AWAY FROM THE MYSTERY METHOD
This is not a dig on Mystery btw, major props to the guy for making significant contributions to the field. However, as in any science, most theories eventually become outdated if they stop progressing with the times. Newer, subtler, more sophisticated seduction systems are surfacing.
3. A GREAT PICKUP ARTIST CAN MAKE ANYTHING WORK
If the universal goal amongst us is to become a truly great pickup artist, then know that a truly great pickup artist can walk up to a woman, say just about anything under the sun and still make it work. If your energy is right, and you have ingrained certain principles into your behavior, it doesn't matter what you say.
